05 / Questions
Email hosting, answered
Will my price go up when I renew?
No. There's no introductory rate, so the price you sign up at is the price you pay at every renewal.
Do you scan or read my mail?
No. We don't scan your mail, build a profile of you, train AI on it or show ads. Like any provider offering standard IMAP and SMTP, your mail is stored on our servers in a form we could technically access, but we don't. If you need mail that only you can decrypt, you'll want an end-to-end encrypted service such as Proton or Tuta. We don't offer that.
Why do you charge per mailbox instead of per domain?
Per-mailbox pricing is easy to predict: you pay for the number of people who need an address. Providers that charge per domain usually limit how many messages you can send per day instead. We don't cap your sending.
How does migration work?
We handle it for you. Send us access to your current mail (Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, any IMAP host) and we'll copy the mailboxes across and set up your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. You can check everything before pointing your domain at us.
Will my mail reach the inbox?
Deliverability depends on correct DNS authentication. Your DKIM key is generated automatically, and the dashboard lists every DNS record you need with a live pass/fail check, so you can see at a glance whether your domain is set up correctly. If we're migrating you, we set up those records as part of the move.
Do I get calendar and contacts?
Yes, both are included in Warpline Webmail. They don't currently sync to external calendar apps, so Apple Calendar and Thunderbird won't pick them up. Your mail works in any client; calendar and contacts are webmail-only for now.
What if 5 GB isn't enough?
You can upgrade any individual mailbox to 10 GB for $3/yr. You only pay for the mailboxes that need the extra space.
Can I add mailboxes later?
Yes, at any time from the dashboard. Extra mailboxes are $10/yr each, up to 250 per domain.
Can I use my own mail.mycompany.com?
Yes. Once you've added a couple of CNAME records, your team connects to mail.yourcompany.com and reads mail at webmail.yourcompany.com, with SSL certificates issued automatically. Outlook and Thunderbird detect the settings on their own.
Are there any limitations I should know about?
A few. Calendar and contacts are webmail-only for now. We don't offer end-to-end encryption. Support is by ticket rather than phone. And this service is designed for everyday business email, not bulk or marketing sends, which need a dedicated sending service.
What if I want to leave?
Your mail is accessible over standard IMAP, so any mail client can download a complete copy whenever you like. There's no export request to make and no waiting on us.
