How traffic is counted
Only outgoing traffic counts against your allowance. Incoming traffic is free and unmetered. If you exceed your allowance, additional traffic is billed per commenced terabyte at the current dashboard rate on your next invoice. Your server is never throttled or suspended.
Outbound SMTP is blocked
Outbound ports 25 and 465 are blocked by default on every server to protect our IP reputation. If you need to run your own mail server, open a ticket and we'll unblock them. Sending through a third-party SMTP service or API works without any changes.

05 / Questions
VPS, answered
How fast is my server ready?
Your server is provisioned automatically as soon as payment clears, typically within a few minutes. Every Warpline VPS is built from a prepared Linux image with the guest agent already installed, so it's ready to use as soon as it boots.
Where are Warpline VPS servers located?
Every Warpline VPS runs in one place: the NOCIX, 1530 Swift facility in North Kansas City, Missouri, United States. It is a Tier III certified, carrier-neutral building with internet exchanges on site. Warpline owns and operates the hardware there rather than reselling another provider's capacity.
Are the vCPUs dedicated?
No. Every Warpline VPS shares CPU time with other servers on the host, which is a large part of how we keep the price low. Memory and disk are allocated to your server. For websites, applications, development environments and small databases, shared CPU is usually more than enough. If you need guaranteed cores, open a ticket and tell us what you're running, and we'll let you know whether this line is a good fit.
Can I send email from my VPS?
Not by default. Outbound connections on ports 25 and 465 are blocked on every Warpline VPS to protect our IP reputation. If you want to run your own mail server, open a ticket and ask for an SMTP unblock. Sending through a third-party SMTP service or API works without any changes.
What happens if I go over my traffic allowance?
Additional outgoing traffic is billed per commenced terabyte on your next renewal invoice, at the current rate shown in the dashboard. Incoming traffic is free and unmetered. Servers are not throttled or suspended for going over.
Can I resize later?
Yes, from the Rescale tab in your Warpline dashboard. You can move a server up or down the range at any time. Your data and IP address stay with the server, and billing adjusts to the new plan.
Do you back up my server?
Snapshots are included on every Warpline VPS. Take one from the dashboard before a risky change, then roll back or delete it afterwards. Automatic daily backups are an optional add-on with current pricing shown in the dashboard. They keep your 7 most recent daily restore points, and you choose the hour they run. Additional disks are not covered by the backup add-on.
Can I get more than one IP address?
Yes. Every Warpline VPS includes one dedicated IPv4 address at no charge. Further addresses are floating IPv4s, with current pricing shown in the dashboard. A floating IP can be moved to any other server on your account, which makes it useful for failover and zero-downtime migrations.
Which operating systems can I run?
A Warpline VPS can run Ubuntu 26.04 LTS or 24.04 LTS, Debian 13, Rocky Linux 10, AlmaLinux 10, or Fedora 44. You choose the image at checkout and can rebuild to any of the others later. With full root access, you can install anything that runs on those distributions.
Should I choose shared hosting or a VPS?
Most websites run perfectly well on shared hosting. A VPS makes sense when you need root access, custom software, a specific language runtime or your own firewall rules. A Warpline VPS is unmanaged: we maintain the host, the network and the dashboard, and you administer the operating system.
