05 / Questions
Reseller hosting, answered
Will my price go up when I renew?
No. There's no introductory rate. The price on the plan is what you pay at signup and at each renewal, so you can set your own prices with confidence.
Which panel do I get, and why isn't it cPanel and WHM?
You get the Webuzo reseller panel, Webuzo's reseller access level, where you create packages and manage client accounts. It's the equivalent of WHM rather than WHM itself, since WHM is cPanel's product and we don't run cPanel. Your clients get the standard Webuzo panel, which looks and works much like cPanel.
Can my clients tell they're hosted with Warpline?
Not from the control panel or from their dealings with you. The panel is unbranded and your clients never contact us. A technically curious client could trace nameservers, IP addresses or mail headers back to our network, but using your own private nameservers covers what most people would ever check.
How do private nameservers work?
You create ns1 and ns2 on your own domain at your registrar as glue records, pointed at the IP addresses we allocate to you. Your clients then use your nameservers instead of ours. Open a ticket and we'll give you the IPs to use.
Do you include a billing system like WHMCS?
No. WHMCS licences are sold separately, and a Starter licence runs about $8-25/month depending on the vendor. If you have your own WHMCS, Softaculous publishes an official Webuzo reseller module for WHMCS 7 and 8 that automates account creation, suspension and termination. Many resellers start out invoicing manually.
Who supports my clients?
You do. We support you as the account holder. Your clients are your customers, and we don't contact them. If something is wrong on our end, open a ticket and we'll fix it.
Can I oversell?
Yes. You can allocate more space across your packages than your plan includes, since most clients don't use their full quota. Keep in mind that your plan's total is a hard limit: if your clients fill it up, you'll need to upgrade.
How many client accounts can I create?
10 on Starter, 25 on Growth and 50 on Agency. If you need more than 50, a VPS is usually the more cost-effective option.
Can you move my existing reseller accounts over?
Yes, free of charge. Send us the login for your current reseller account and we'll bring the client accounts across, then give you a test URL to check before anything switches.
Can I upgrade without disrupting my clients?
Yes. Upgrades happen in place. Your clients' accounts don't move, and the only change they'll see is more room.
What happens if I want to leave?
You can download full backups of your accounts from the panel at any time, in standard formats. We don't offer assisted migrations to other hosts, but nothing stops you from moving.
Is this reselling, or an affiliate program?
Reselling. You own the customer relationship, set your own prices and send the invoices. We never contact your clients. An affiliate program is different: you'd refer customers to us for a commission.
